Susan Kinane

Managing Director

Susan Kinane is Managing Director of ESB Independnent Energy (Appointed January 2010). Susan joined ESBIE in 2005 as IT Project Manager and then became manager of Customer Operations. She has worked extensively in the industry for many years, both at home and abroad, in the areas of Customer Operations, Call Centre Management and IT Project Management and brings a broad and in depth knowledge of the industry to ESB Independent Energy.

Derek Russell

Commerical Manager

Derek Russell is Commercial Manager of ESB Independent Energy. Derek brings a wealth of internal and external experience to his role, having previously worked as Commercial Manager on the development team of Irelands first independent power station and as a Retail Gas Markets Manager. Derek also worked as Sales Manager in a number of companies.

Diarmuid Fenelon

Financial Controller

Diarmuid joined ESBIE in July 2008 as Finance Manager and became Financial Controller in July 2009. Previous to joining ESBIE, Diarmuid had worked for four years in a leading publicly quoted construction group where he held a number of financial positions and was integrally involved in a number of key projects. Diarmuid qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003 having gained extensive experience in audit and corporate finance.

John Cunningham

Operations and Marketing Manager

John Cunningham is the Operations and Marketing Manager for ESB Independent Energy. He has over 25 years experience of the electricity industry having joined the ESB parent company directly from College. He has held a number of senior Financial Positions in ESB and prior to moving to his current role, worked in the services area of ESB.
John is a graduate of University College Galway and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Michael Counihan

Sales Manager ROI West, Mid West

Michael has extensive experience of the Irish electricity industry. He previously held management positions within the area of customer supply and has worked on various energy consulting projects. Michael is a graduate of the University of Limerick and is based in Limerick.

Frank Norton

Senior Customer Relationship Manager, Dublin and South East

Frank has over 30 years experience in Industrial Automation, Instrumentation and Sales and Marketing, having previously held senior positions with major electrical distribution companies.

Gerard Hensey

Senior Customer Relationship Manager North, North East and Midlands

Gerard is a graduate of the University of Limerick, holds an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a currently completing a Masters in Building Services Management with Brunel University London. Gerard has fifteen years experience working in the manufacturing industry and the building services engineering sector with a strong focus on renewable technologies.

Colm Dunne

Customer Relationship Manager, Greater Dublin Area

Colm has over 25 years experience in the Electrical Industry. For seven years he ran a consultancy/Energy Efficiency company concentrating mainly on the lighting area. Colm also has a number of years experience in Project management.

Alan Daisey

Customer Relationship Manager, Greater Dublin Area

Alan holds a BA hons degree in business management from Leeds Metropolitan University. Previously Alan spent seven years working for an investment Bank in London where he was project manager for the corporate communications area. He joined ESBIE in 2005 and was involved in the implementation for the new billing system.

Jimmy Kirk

Customer Relationship Manager, Greater Dublin Area

Jimmy has over 30 years experience in the electricity industry and has spent the last 16 years managing ESB contracting in the North East of the country.

John Drinan

Senior Customer Relationship Manager

John has over 25 years experience in the electricity industry in Ireland. Prior to joining ESBIE he has held positions in ESB Networks Design and in ESB Customer Supply. John joined ESBIE as Customer Relationship Manager soon after its formation in 2000 and has since gained a wealth of experience in the commercial energy market. Based in Cork, John holds a BCL (Hons.) Degree in Law from University College Cork.

Kieran Savage

Customer Relationship Manager South East

Kieran has 17 years experience in the customer service area and has spent the last 5 years as a Senior Customer Relationship Manager with ESB Customer Supply. Kieran was previously responsible for the development of the Business Customer Contact Centre in ESB Customer Supply.

Trina Mc Manus

Customer Relationship Manager

Trina has over 7 years experience in the Technical Communications industry. A graduate of University of Limerick she completed a BA in Public Administration followed by postgraduate diploma in Technical Communication and later completed a postgraduate diploma in PR & Event Management. She worked in PR consultancy for 5 years before joining ESBIE in 2009.

Aidan Bradley

Sales Manager NI

Aidan Bradley is Sales Manager for Northern Ireland and manages the NI CRM Team. Aidan has extensive experience of the electricity industry having spent several years in management positions within the areas of transmission, distribution and customer relations, as well as external experience in the manufacturing industry. Aidan has a BEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and has been heavily involved in the development of the electricity supply market in Northern Ireland since 2000.

Clare Mc Allister

Customer Relationship Manager

Clare has a BSC (Applied Chemical Science) from UUJ and has completeled an MBA at QUB. Clare has broad experience within the engineering industry having worked for Solectron and AVX Ltd in her native Coleraine where her work focused on customer and product development for the European market.

Alan Cunningham

Customer Relationship Manager

Alan has a BA Hons (Modern History) from University of Ulster, Coleraine and completed the Parity Graduate Management Development programme. Alan has 10 years' experience in the industrial gases market.

Patrick McCarney

Customer Relationship Manager

Patrick graduate from Queens University Belfast with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. After graduating Patrick worked with a large multinational in the area of high volume manufacture of Consumer Electronics, including a period at the company’s Research and Development facility in Seoul, South Korea. Before joining ESBIE, Patrick worked in technical sales for the past three years and brings vast experience in both electrical engineering and customer service to his new position.

Martin McEnteggert

Customer Relationship Manager

Martin graduated with an Honours Degree in Economics from NUI Maynooth. Shortly after graduating, Martin joined ESB and worked in Customer Operations where he developed vast experience and expert knowledge. Martin transferred to ESB Independent Energy in 2006 and played a key role in the roll out of ESBIE's new Customer Care and Billing System. He brings to his new role, a vast knowledge and experience of customer operations.
