ESBIE has contracts in place with over 800MW of generation in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland enabling us to deliver competitive prices to enhance the performance of your business.

ESBIE retails the full output of Synergen Dublin Bay Power, a 400MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plant. In Northern Ireland, ESBIE sells the full output of the 400MW Coolkeeragh power station in the North West. Fuelled by natural gas, and using leading edge technology, these plants are among the most efficient in the Irish market providing ESBIE customers with a reliable source of competitive generation.

ESBIE also has commercial agreements in place with 40MW of wind generators across the island and this is set to increase to over 75MW by 2008. Through these renewable sources, ESBIE is providing renewable energy to a growing number of our customers. Using renewable energy can bring many benefits, including reduced CO2 emissions, cleaner less polluting energy production and reduced reliance on fuel imports ESBIE is pleased to be playing its part in tackling climate change.
