As Northern Ireland’s premier entertainment venue, the Odyssey, has hosted nearly twenty million visitors since it opened eight years ago and will be supplied with renewable energy for the first time. The contract, which is valued at over £1.3 million and requires in excess of 9 million KWh per annum, will see ESBIE provide energy sourced from its renewable portfolio including 50 MW of new windfarms being commissioned later this year.
Liam Molloy, Managing Director , ESBIE commented, “The contract to supply green energy to the Odyssey Trust endorses our credentials as a leading energy provider within the Northern Ireland market and confirms the Trusts commitment to environmental initiatives.
